GUNPOINT GROOM

Hello BookLovers!
I am back with another book review.

                          GUNPOINT GROOM
BLURB
What do you do when a twist of fate turns your life upside down overnight? All you hoped for turns into a bizarre caricature. Your own plans start mocking at you. Karan's perfect life and perfect romance come crashing when he gets kidnapped and is forced to marry a stranger. His fate is decided at gunpoint. A saga of drama and introspection starts soon after leading to a transformational journey into self-discovery. It is no less a drama for Kavya, the forced bride. Gunpoint groom explores the murky world of groom kidnapping and what takes place in the families that go through it. There's love, romance, sex, sadness and twist in the novel which explores a culture clash of ideas and traditions that modern India is. The subject of Inter-State migration, tradition, politics and freewill makes a heady cocktail until everything starts falling in place in the lives of the protagonists. A fast-paced page-turner, gunpoint groom will take you on a rollercoaster ride which you may not want to get off from.

MY REVIEW

An extremely electrifying fiction, Gunpoint Groom by Kamini Kusum. The tittle says a lot about how much interesting it is and Karan is the protagonist whose the gunpoint groom and Kavya being the bride. The plot describes about how Karan has been kidnapped and how their life takes turn overnight.

A unique story with a lot of twists and turns.
As the name suggests, a simple guy who's living his life perfectly is kidnapped one day and is asked to marry a girl who he hasn't even seen yet.

I say it is a unique plot because later on we realize that even the girl is forced to marry.

The language is good and easy to read.
A fast paced novel which you'll definitely want to read with every page turned.

RATINGS

Let's pour our heart out today!!

People often say, things never come easily to us. We need to work hard and really very hard to get the things in life that we really want to achieve. Often times I think about being a content writer, sometimes a data scientist or maybe a teacher or just staying a reader for life. People say that I've not been doing much in life professionally/ career related because they do not see me growing. I too think about all this many a times because who doesn't? I like to call these kind of days, " Reflection Days " when I sit down with a diary in hand (sometimes not even a diary) and think about everything I have done, achieved, experienced, regret not doing in this whole life or just the past year to be specific. The conclusion that I reach upon is considerably vague because I just cannot reach a proper conclusion to all these things, I guess no one can. Nonetheless, I reach upon the conclusion that I might have not done what my friends are doing or I might not have achieved...
