Let's talk about books :)

People oftentimes ask me this one particular question and that is, “Simran, how are you even able to complete one book a day? Or what intrigues you to keep reading?”

I sometimes want to rub this question off, honestly but, sometimes, I feel like asking people to come over to my place, and just take a look at my bookshelf and the unkempt doodles on the doors of my cupboard, the unfinished journals which I promise, I’ll complete, the long-forgotten TBR lists staring at my face every time I buy a new book.

This was just a snippet of my undying love for novels.

So, my friend, what was your question, again?

The hidden secret behind me being able to complete reading a book a day, right?

Oh! I am sorry to say but there’s no hard and fast rule or any secret tips honestly. It just depends on a few things:

·       Your time availability

·       Interest in the genre and plot of the novel

·       Surroundings being supportive

·       No guests at home (very very very very important)

·       Some feel-good music without a pause button

·       And something to munch on (totally depends upon your liking)

When I first started reading professionally (and by professionally, I mean when in 2017 I started reading books and reviewing them), I used to get books almost on a weekly basis and the fun part is my mother used to wonder who is this person sending her daughter books almost every week and in return for absolutely nothing.

But, yeah, I made them sit down and told them what was exactly happening.

I used to wait for the novels to be delivered like a little girl waiting for her father to bring her loads of goodies while returning home from work, I used to be the happiest girl in the family.

This is the part where you get a hint that I started reading every book as soon as it reached my hands.

So, my days used to pass by reading, imagining every scene from the novels, smiling and crying for no “real” reason, and making friends with readers from the bookstagram community.

This girl can proudly say that books are her real best friends. When everyone else left, books were there with her, smiling all the way throughout the reading journey and took good care of her.

I have actually learned many things from books.

Many different people have different theories, different people learn different lessons from books and we aren’t judging each other here, alright?

·       I was someone who used to fail in the English language throughout school life and here I am writing this long blogpost and working as a content writer, also, I am a published Author, you guys!

·       Books have made my creative side better and am able to imagine in a better way.

·       I am able to communicate in a better way.

·       Made me a better person overall.

·       Enhanced my personality.

·       Changed this girl from an introvert to being an ambivert (I don’t know when will the time come when I’ll be able to call myself an extrovert but, I’m fine with it though!)

·       Books welcome me with open arms when the whole wide world turns its back against me.

·       Whenever it is time for a social media detox or staying away from any device is needed, books always come to the rescue.

Oh boy! I can stay up all night talking about them and will never get tired of even a split second.

But, one fact will remain same.

That is, I love books as much as a chef loves cooking, a fashion blogger loves clothes and makeup, a Youtuber loves content and their camera and a homemaker loves taking care of family members.

This love will never fade away, girl!
Not ever!

And now, I’ll sign off.

This was not Simran but, @miss_reviewer_ talking to you guys.

Tell me something, didn’t you smile last night when your whole family was with you last night, enjoying dinner and watching TV while talking about your childhood memories they cherish till date? Didn’t you embrace the wind you felt on your face while riding your scooter? Didn’t it make you smile? Didn’t you cry when you thought about the fact that there might be a few years left for you to live wi...

"The part I left you with" by Rahul Saini

The book goes around two pivots over a significant period of time. This story spins around three characters and manages their view of life and of adoration. This story's method of managing love is very unique to that of the majority of the other Indian love stories. The arrangements with affection as an inclination, love as an overall experience, and dropping out of adoration by and large. Every one of the three characters here goes through an excursion to find their own self and personality over the span of the novel. School life is also explored and I can undoubtedly associate with it. What I noted and loved were those interesting email addresses. The part where Ratna's father and Ratna had a significant conversation about young ladies and what are they fit for filled my heart with joy. I enjoyed the part that Ratna's father played in this entire story and how much love he gives to her. The pieces of Ronit's journal made the book more fascinating to peruse. I understo...
